Our History

A-1 Medical Staffing has a long, reliable history of providing healthcare staff to local businesses.  In 2010, we began as the healthcare division of A-1 CAREERS, a company founded in 2000 to provide professional staffing services in various industries.  Together, we set a mission to help people build their careers while supporting our customer's efforts to maintain a quality team.  

In 2019, we incorporated as a separate company, A-1 Medical Staffing, with locations in Des Moines and Bettendorf, Iowa. We committed to providing healthcare staffing solutions to help medical companies in the Midwest with Per Diem, Contract, Travel Nursing and Direct Hire options. 

Our office teams include dedicated Health Care Staffing Professionals who have experience in clinical or administrative roles in the healthcare settings that we service.  We understand your needs and the importance of being fully staffed in healthcare.
